Broughty Castle

Sitting at the mouth of the Tay, Broughty Castle was built in 1496 and has faced many battles throughout history. Today, Broughty Castle is open to visitors and can be found beside Broughy Beach in Broughty Ferry, by Dundee.

HM Frigate Unicorn

Now docked in Dundee's Victoria Dock, His Majesty's Frigate Unicorn was a powerful warship back in 1824.

Magdalen Green & Band Stand

Tay Rail Bridge

The original Tay Rail Bridge tragically collapsed in 1879 killing 75 people. The remains of the original bridge can be seen to this day. Connecting Dundee and Fife, the rail bridge (and the nearby road bridge) are two significant examples of Scottish engineering.

The Law Hill

The Law (meaning Hill) is an extinct volcano formed around 400 million years ago. Its 572 foot peak is Dundee's highest point and offers stunning views of the whole city. The peak can easily be reached by road or by foot.

Home of the famed RRS Discovery (Captain Scott's scientific research ship that was specifically built to explore Antarctica), Discovery Point has audio/visual shows, interactive displays and artefacts, and provides tours of the ship.

Victoria & Albert (V&A) Dundee

V&A at Dundee will be an international centre of design for Scotland and will celebrate Scotland's historic and important role in design. Development of the museum will play a vital role in Dundee's ambitious regeneration plans. Construction work will begin in 2013 with an anticipated opening in 2015.
